PROTOTYPE A:
DRAW A MEMORY!
QUICK DRAWING TOOL TEST
Users will start by testing a mouse, trackpad, and Wacom tablet, then choose the one they feel most comfortable using for drawing. This initial test provides valuable insights, as the drawing tool selected impacts the overall experience on the digital interface.
01 Drawing with a Wacom Tablet:
- ꕀ Easiest and most comfortable
- ꕀ Manageable
- ꕀ Hardest
02 Drawing with a Mouse:
03 Drawing with Computer Trackpad:
"Wacom feels the most similar to drawing with a pen and paper, using a mouse is still manageable, but trackpad is the worst."
The Wacom tablet shows noticeably smoother, less jagged lines, with the cleanest line joins compared to the other two.
Overall, this user chose to draw with a Wacom tablet as it results in a neater and more controlled outcome that accurately reflects the user's original drawing style at the same time.

DRAWING THE MEMORY
How it works
A drawing interface that allows users to interact by drawing out a recalled memory. Upon pressing the ‘improv!’ button, a frequency sound either low, mid or high could be heard and a paragraph of the memory-based drawing will be generated. This is done using Gemini API prompts in p5.js code.
Through user-testings, it is said that a drawing interface retains a human touch (50% human 50% AI intelligence), making it an expressive experience. Every drawing is also unique, one of a kind and personal. The generated paragraphs based on drawings are fun to read, encouraging engagement. The generated sound frequency is a nice touch to an audio-visual experience. Sometimes the sentences can be so accurate, it hits close to home. Other times, a miss in accuracy can trigger a good laugh.
There are limitations, where sound generated is fixed with only 3 variables: low, mid, and high frequency. This prototype does not have a physical element.

followed by a text, will be generated based on your drawing.
IMPROV OUTCOME
Overall Experience Rating: Relevance, Interactivity, Engagement, Accuracy, Therapeutical
4.5/5
"My memory and its description is almost the same. It's literally what I had in my mind. Everything is accurate except for the 'gun and sulphur' part. That line starting from 'filled with anticipation..' is the most accurate. It was like 'unexpectedness but in a good way."
