Summary of Thoughts and Reflection

This project has been a year-long journey of self-discovery, exploration and growth. I have learned to embrace the unknown; get out of my comfort zone to explore on areas I'm unfamiliar with and trust my instincts; be confident and worry less about the final outcome by focusing on doing the best for the present moment. It has definitely been tough at the start of the year where I struggled alot with the direction of the project and was having a hard time to find a balance between the technical and artistic conceptual aspect of the project. I was constantly questioning myself, haing self-doubts if I was doing the right thing and if I was on the right track. However, as I progressed through the project, I learned to trust my instincts and embrace the unknown. I realised that moments like this made me gain valuable insights on what didn't work out, opening routes to what else could have worked and I shouldn't be afraid of failures. I learned to let go of my fears and insecurities and focus on the present moment. Most importantly, not being too focused on making things perfect instantly but rather improving slowly and patiently would alleviate the stress and overthinkings. This allowed me to be more open to new ideas and experiences, which ultimately led to a more fulfilling and meaningful project.

The process of creating the soundscapes for the sake of the audiences' experience, has at the same time allowed me to reconnect with my memories and emotions in a profound way. This project initially started with just one random belief of mine that sound has the power to evoke emotions and memories in a way that is unique and powerful and I did not expect so many people to be able to relate to my work and share their own stories with me. It was a humbling experience to see how my work resonated with others and sparked conversations about the power of sound and memory. I was also surprised by the positive feedback I received from my peers and mentors, which gave me the confidence to continue exploring the theme of sound and memories in my future work, and I am excited to see where it takes me. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this work with others and hope it resonates with them as much as it does with me.

I have also learned the importance of being open to feedback and criticism. Throughout the project, I received valuable feedback from my peers and mentors, which helped me refine my ideas and improve my work. I learned to view feedback as an opportunity for growth rather than a personal attack, which has made me more resilient and adaptable as a designer. Overall, this project has been a transformative experience for me. I have learned to embrace the unknown, trust my instincts, and focus on the present moment. I am excited to continue exploring similar themes in my future work and hope to inspire others to do the same.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.

Final Viva Voce Setup

The setup has extended to 3 tables because before this, with just 2 tables,
it looked a little too cramped with no breathing space. Now, the flow of the
setup looks clearer as every object has its own area and no distractions at the sides.
