ANALOG VS DIGITAL
Photographic memory (ANALOG)
EXHIBIT A — visuals only
- ✶ conventional way of remembering
- ✶ digital photography
- ✶ stagnant and still
After much thought and consideration based on last week's feedbacks, I have come to a realisation that the boardgame isn't the best ideation outcome and focusing only on digital dementia seemed to steer way off my intial main focus on sound as a memory recall tool. However, the previous digital dementia tests has provided significant proof that sound does help with memory recall although it is more of a short-term than a long-term memory. Hence, I decided to come back to my main focus, sound, where this time, I would compare between analog — visual (photographs only) and digital — audio-visual (touch triggers sound interface)

Sonic memory (AUDIO-VISUAL)
I had throughly found a few royalty-free videos that I am planning to use as background visuals for the soundscapes. I was thinking of using touchdesigner to edit the visuals but decided on learning to use Blender to create a few pixelated GIFs that are more relevant to the soundscapes, by creating the ASCII efffect.
Anieraser AI tool to remove royalty free logo take specifically selected footage to blender and use geometry nodes
using RGB curves to remove messy background and focus on main object reduce details for a more pizelated fragmented look
additional fogginess to the GIF specially curated soundscape of child playing on the swings with different audio tracks mixed together
USING BLENDER
to create visuals that corresponds to their soundscapes

AUDIO VS VISUAL
Since the purpose of this project is to provide awareness on the power of sound as a memory recall tool and encourage people of this internet generation to rely more on their auditory than visual senses by being more present in the moment through the act of listening, exhibit C would be a thoughts and reflections corner for the audience to share their memories and perspectives, which would be useful for me to gather more insights.
